Summers bring parades and carnivals and everything fun. We cheered Elise in this year's parade as a student body officer for AF High. They quickly abandoned their float for walking and throwing candy!
We celebrated all weekend with a visit from the Wiser Family. Fourth of July consisted of a yummy bbq, fireworks and lots of treats with my parents, Betty and Pam and the Wisers. I am going to miss summer, this was a fun one !!
Trek is every four years in our stake and Elise was able to participate before she graduates. She had a wonderful experience (which as a mom I was so happy about) She had to move piano students around but it was worth the time she took off to experience it all. They went high up AF Canyon around Cascade Springs, survived steep climbs, scorching sun and rain and thunderstorms-- and had the time of their lives. Elise now has "trek parents" and "trek siblings" :) On the last day families were invited to come up and greet them. It was a great site to see 400 or so youth come into the valley and finish the trek. Lynn was one of the captains helping several families and loved being there with Elise.
In May Jacob started cub scouts and thinks it's the greatest thing! He loves it all, from the uniform, to the "flair" to the activities. The Cubs went into the playoff series and came in 2nd place in their league, what a fun team!
