Concord Lousia May Alcott's Orchard House

Louisa wrote Little Women (one of our favorite books) in this family home. Her bedroom window is the upper right. It was a fascinating tour. Abigal May's (Amy) drawings are preserved all over her own bedroom wall, Beth's piano is still there and we saw the desk Louisa wrote on. Elise and I LOVED it! The last photo is a place her father built for the Transcendentalist club-- members included Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau, two great influences and friends of Louisa- who just happened to live down the block.
